Dr. Kaplan's commitment to excellence extends far beyond his initial degrees. Recognizing the rapid advancements in dentistry, he dedicates numerous hours each year to continuing education. His postgraduate studies include extensive training at the prestigious L.D. Pankey Institute (Levels 1-5), focusing on TMJ disorders, posterior inlays, and implant restoration. He has also pursued advanced studies in clinical practice, encompassing cosmetic dentistry, smile design, occlusion, TMJ therapy, and intraoral photography. His ongoing education ensures he remains at the forefront of dental innovations, benefiting his patients with the latest and most effective treatments.
Believing in the power of shared knowledge, Dr. Kaplan actively participates in several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Metropolitan District Dental Society, and the L.D. Pankey Alumni Association. These memberships provide a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and techniques with colleagues, ultimately enhancing the quality of care he provides to his patients. Dr. Kaplan is also passionate about educating both his patients and the next generation of dentists. He serves as a Clinical Instructor in General Dentistry at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and is a visiting faculty member at Spear Education. Additionally, he holds a hospital affiliation with Franciscan Children’s Hospital in Brighton, MA.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Kaplan enjoys an active and fulfilling life. His leisure time is spent playing tennis, traveling the world with his wife, indulging in a good book, and appreciating fine dining experiences.
